Carl Pritchard Court Case Postponed

(WKTV/WBNG)-The former owner of Zoe, the German Shepherd who chewed off her own leg appeared in court Wednesday.

According to WKTV in Utica, New York, 59 year old Carl Pritchard was supposed to be arraigned Wednesday in Exeter Town Court in Exeter, New York, but Judge Stephen Meyer says it was a conflict of interest as he formally had contact with Pritchard.

Meyer was formally a State Trooper and he knew Pritchard from previous accounts of professional contact.

The case will be reassigned to another court and Pritchard won't face appearance again for another four to six weeks.

Pritchard has been charged with over driving, torturing and injuring of animals and failure to provide proper sustenance.
