Fentanyl found, man arrested in a Binghamton drug raid

Authorities in Binghamton say a man has been arrested following the execution of a narcotics search warrant.

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force seized drugs and made an arrest during a raid at a Binghamton apartment building Wednesday.

Investigators seized 24 grams of Fentanyl and over 12 ounces of marijuana at an apartment building on Saratoga Avenue. They also found drug packaging materials and $7,400 dollars of expected drug proceeds.

Police arrested and charged 32-year-old Christopher Fox of Binghamton with:

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd - (intent to sell)a class B Felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd(over ½ ounce) – a class B Felony
  • Criminal Possession of Marijuana 3rd(over 8 ounces) – a class E Felony
  • 2 counts - Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd– a class A Misdemeanor

Fox has been arraigned and is being held at the Broome County Correctional Facility.
