The New York Law Enforcement Assistance Program (NYLEAP) brings mental health awareness to law enforcement.
NYLEAP was created by peers for peers and aims to improve mental health of all law enforcement officers and first-responders to reduce alcohol and controlled substance abuse, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and suicide. The goal of NYLEAP is to provide training throughout the state of New York for officers and first-responders within their personal lives.
NYLEAP received $2,000 on behalf of Upstate Shredding and will use it for the cost of a post-critical incident seminar that they will hold in September.
