BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- Several store managers from Weis Markets stopped by the CHOW Warehouse in Binghamton Tuesday to give the organization a $10,000 check.
The donation was part of the "National Day of Giving" and will go toward buying food for the CHOW warehouse.
Weis District Manager Jeremy Latimer says it's important for the company to be involved in a community that supports them.
"Our main focus is being passionate about the organizations that our community and our associates are passionate about.," Latimer said.
"There's a great need and we're glad to be able to participate and assist with that need."
The director of CHOW tells 12 News that the donation is very important this time of year since children are home from school and are unsure where their next meal will come from.
