(WBNG) -- As 2020 begins, 12 News took a look back at some of the top stories throughout the year that impacted the community.

From waking up with you in the morning at 5 a.m., to saying goodnight after the 11 p.m. show, 12 News brought you the latest news.

We covered stories of fires destroying homes and hearing from the people who were directly impacted. We took you to the skies in an airplane to talk about National Aviation Day.

12 News even tried spicy ice cream during Spiedie Fest and checked out all of the great restaurants in the area during restaurant weeks across the Southern Tier.

We tackled the big court cases from Orlando Tercero to Wilfredo Pica-Torres and, of course, we brought you to the breaking news to keep you up to date on the latest incidents.

We surprised organizations, telling them they won thousands of dollars. We also broke a big record by raising $30,000 for our Harvest for Hunger Phone-A-Thon.

From WBNG, thank you to all of our viewers for a great year of 2019!
