NEW YORK (AP) - A man serving a life sentence for killing a Long Island police officer and another man died in a state prison earlier this month.
Authorities say Darrell Fuller was pronounced dead on Dec. 9 at the Elmira Correctional Facility.
Investigators are waiting to review the results of an autopsy. But a police spokesman says Fuller's death is not considered suspicious.
The 40-year-old was convicted in 2014 for the killings of Nassau County Police Officer Arthur Lopez and Raymond Facey, a motorist he tried to carjack.
Fuller had fled from a crash and led police on a chase before he shot and killed Lopez.
