OWEGO (WBNG) -- With the holidays in the rear view, the Terra Cotta Owego Banquet and Conference Center saw the first weekend of the new year as the perfect opportunity for a bridal show.
"A lot of people get engaged over the holidays between Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years and for us it just made sense to put this on this first weekend," said coordinator Kortney Peters.
Giving brides and grooms options for everything from center pieces to the main dish.
"It's just a great way for them to get a one stop shop for all of their wedding planning needs and to meet a lot of different vendors in all of the categories that they would need," she said
It is also an opportunity for vendors to get a jump on what Peters says is one of the busiest times of year for the wedding industry.
"Brides get to come and see our different price points and what we have to offer, they can actually hold the bouquets," said David Yacaginsky of Woodfern Florists. "Then they get to come into the store and we'll do a consultation," he said.
Something that Peters says is important for businesses at a time when so many planners simply rely on google searches to find vendors.
"It's a really great way for them to see something that's more than just a Facebook page or a website it's actually in person, face to face communication," she said.
Organizers tell 12 News that Terra Cotta Owego also has many options for weddings at the venue.
