Syracuse man arrested, charged after smashing window at residence

TOWN OF HOMER, (WBNG) -- New York State Police say a Syracuse man has been charged following an attempted burglary in the town of Homer on Jan. 10.

State Police say 54-year-old Curtis D. McCormick was arrested and charged with attempted burglary in the 2nd degree, a felony.

Police say around 10:52 a.m, troopers were dispatched for a report of a burglary at a residence on State Route 11.

They say McCormick smashed through a window but never entered the home.

McCormick was later located in Syracuse by State Police.

He was arraigned in the Town of Homer Court and remanded to the Cortland County Jail on no bail.

The Cortland County Sheriff's Office assisted with the investigation.
