BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- Playing as the "Broome County Blades," the Binghamton Devils kicked off Slap Shot Weekend with a 3-1 win over the Providence Bruins.
After a scoreless first period, Joey Anderson tipped in a pass from Mikhail Maltsev off a faceoff. It was Anderson's fifteenth goal of the season.
A few minutes later, Egor Sharangovich scored on a shorthanded goal, on an assist from Brandon Gignac. Sharagovich's goal was the eventual game winner. Colton White added a goal on a powerplay in the third period, for his first of the season.
Gilles Senn stopped 25 of 26 shots in the win, as the B-Devils have now won 12 of their last 14 games.
