(WBNG) -- The Boy Scouts of America's Baden-Powell Council serves nearly 3,000 youth and their families across five counties in New York.
The council is this week's winner of a $2,000 grant from Upstate Shredding for Southern Tier Tuesday's. The Baden-Powell Council operates the 1,300 acre Tuscarora Scout Reservation near Windsor, NY year-round for weekend camping and Summer Camp for Cub Scouts and Scouts from around the region.
In 2019, Scouts earned over 2,000 merit badges and over 5,000 nights of camping at the reservation.
With this $2,000 grant, they will be able to repair the concrete floor in the ADA Campsite restroom, which had settled and severely cracked over the last 20 years.
