(WBNG) – A local healthcare provider has been nationally recognized for its advancement in virtual health.
United Health Services is now the first healthcare provider in the country to receive accreditation for its telehealth virtual walk-in program. The recognition comes from a non-profit organization that helps promote the quality of healthcare services delivered by providers.
Telehealth Program Manager, Sean Britton says, "by showing that we meet the accreditation standards, it means that we are delivering telehealth in a way that experts in the industry of healthcare have validated as the best way to deliver the service."
The telehealth program can be accessed from home with a computer, smartphone, or tablet seven days a week between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
