BOCES culinary students showing the love to their community

DICKINSON (WBNG) -- Students in Broome-Tioga BOCES culinary program gave back to local elderly residents Thursday morning.

The students teamed up to bake and decorate hundreds of heart-shaped cookies to be given to local elderly residents via Meals on Wheels.

The students expressed happiness at the thought of making a difference in the lives of so many.

"I feel proud, and I like doing it because I like seeing other people happy and other people smile. Seeing the smile on their faces when they get these cookies is going to melt my heart," said Senior Kimberly Tarbox.

Meals on Wheels of Broome County distributed the hundreds of cookies made by the students.
