JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) -- The Johnson City Professional Firefighter's Association geared up for this year's Saint Patrick's Day Parade with a tasty fundraiser Sunday.

Calling it "Beef and Brew," the firefighter's association put on a spread of roast beef, corn and potatoes at Giblin's Irish Pub in Johnson City.

The event was to raise money to bring a pipe band to the Binghamton Saint Patrick's Day Parade, something organizers say is part of the tradition of the day's festivities.

"Growing up as a kid going to the parade, seeing all of the bagpipes coming up, it was a great feeling. It's awesome and it's nice to keep it going for everybody," said Sean Meaney of the Johnson City Professional Firefighter's Association.

The Binghamton Saint Patrick's Day Parade is coming up on Saturday March 7.
