TOWN OF ONEONTA (WBNG) -- Otsego County authorities are investigating a deadly fire that occurred late night Monday in the town of Oneonta.
The Otsego County Sheriff's Office says one person was found dead at the property by responding fire officials.
The sheriff's office says crews dispatched to a report of barn fire at 273 County Route 58. They say crews arrived to find a "fully involved" residential fire.
Law enforcement was called to the location after the dead body was discovered.
The Oneonta Fire Department, New York State DHSES Office of Fire Prevention and Control, Otsego County Highway Department and NYSEG are assisting with the investigation.
The Susquehanna SPCA has provided assistance regarding housing for four horses that were located at the property.
