(WBNG) -- Black Balloon Day is a national and international event, bringing awareness to overdose deaths.

Diane and Lauren Hurley began Black Balloon Day in remembrance of Greg Tremblay, a father of four who died of an overdose on March 6th, 2015. Free balloons will be distributed on March 6th at 72 North Ave. from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and in Waverly at Valley United Presbyterian Church for community members to tie to their businesses and homes to bring awareness to drug overdose.
