(WBNG) -- National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement and is celebrated across the United States annually on the first Tuesday in August.

The Endwell United Methodist Church has hosted National Night Out celebrations for the last four years, but this year due to COVID-19, they are switching to a fundraiser to benefit local emergency responders.

On Tuesday, August 4th, the church will host a Brook's BBQ drive through from 3:30 tto 6:00 p.m. For $12.50, visitors will get a half chicken dinner, baked potato, roll, bottled water and an oatmeal cream cookie.

"This is our way of thanking all of the emergency organizations that we would normally celebrate on that day," David Alexander, the Co-Chair of the National Night Out Committee says.
