BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- Binghamton officials say the building that burned at 78 Liberty St. on Aug. 2 will be demolished.
City officials say the building is about 75 percent damaged. This was determined following investigations led by the Fire Marshal's Office, Code Enforcement and City Engineering departments.
One person sustained 1st degree burns, according to Binghamton Mayor Rich David.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation but officials say the cause of it is not suspicious.
Mayor David says more details will be announced at a later date. A time for the demolition was not announced.
On Monday, neighbors told 12 News they're trying to stay positive after the fire.
