1 dead in Sanford motorcycle crash

SANFORD, NY (WBNG) -- New York State Police identified the woman who died in a crash in Sanford over the weekend as Angela Decker, 21, of Westtown.

Troopers say Decker was the passenger on a motorcycle when it crashed. The driver was airlifted after the crash to Upstate University Hospital.

They say they don't know what cused the motorcycle to go off the roadway.

The crash remains under investigation.

SANFORD, NY (WBNG) --State Police say one person has died after a Harley Davidson motorcycle struck a guiderail.

The driver and passenger were traveling west on State Route 17, exit 82 in Sanford.

Police say at approximately 12:56 p.m., the motorcycle driver traveled off the road and hit the guiderail.

Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle.

The driver, a 23-year-old from Washingtonville, N.Y. was airlifted to Upstate Medical.

The passenger, a 21-year-old female from Westtown, N.Y. was taken to Wilson Hospital by Deposit Ambulance where she later died.

As the driver traveled off the road for an unknown reason, police say the accident remains under investigation
