(WBNG) -- New resources for families with children with special needs are on the horizon in the Southern Tier.
It's all thanks to the Southern Tier Special Education Task Force, which is a group of professionals who organize different events and resources for families in the area.
The event on Oct. 28 is a virtual seminar, working to spread the word about three new programs at Binghamton University. The programs include one on physical therapy, one on occupational therapy and a third on speech language pathology.
Board of Directors Member Lucky Mason Williams elaborated, "We invited the directors to come and talk about their plans and their vision for those programs and how they might help local providers, resources they might be able to provide to local districts, students, families."
The seminar is free, but you do have to register in advance.
