ULSTER, Pa (WBNG) -- Pennsylvania dairy farmers and the American Dairy Association North East handed out milk and food to Bradford County residents at Harnish Farms Tuesday.
Cars began lining up on both sides of the road hours before the distribution began.
The ADANE handed out 800 34-pound boxes filled with a gallon of milk, produce and meat.
The food was bought through the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program.
Local farmers volunteered to help hand out the boxes and milk.
Harnish Farms Owner Lynette Shedden says getting fresh produce and dairy out into the community is really important because of the pandemic.
“Fresh food obviously has more nutrients and it’s important for people’s bodys to get vitamins that they are taken out when foods are processed,” Shedden said.
Shedden also mentioned she’s glad that her farm was a part of something that benefits her community.
