(WBNG) -- Our Lady of Sorrows Food Pantry in Vestal is this week's winner of Southern Tier Tuesdays two thousand dollar grant from Upstate Shredding.
Our Lady of Sorrows Food Pantry provides food and personal care products to households in need in our community. The Coordinator of Our Lady of Sorrows Food Pantry, Julie Slattery, says during the coronavirus pandemic they saw a 25% increase in demand and they served people from outside their normal reach of Vestal and Apalachin.
Our Lady of Sorrows Food Pantry is now a drive-thru distribution and is open on Tuesdays from noon to 2 p.m., Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
