Jason Doris joined the 12 News team in October 2020 as a Meteorologist & Multmedia Journalist. He graduated from Northern Vermont University- Lyndon in May 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Atmospheric Science.
Previous to joining the 12 News team, Jason spent a year working in Boston at WHDH where he was the morning Weather Producer. At WHDH, Jason won an Emmy Award for his part during storm coverage of an October Nor'Easter. In college Jason gained plenty of experience forecasting for harsh winters in Vermont as one of the Lead Forecasters for the Vermont Agency of Transportation's winter operations. Jason also spent two summer as a meteorologist intern at WJAR in Providence.
While studying for his Bachelors, Jason was an All-Conference baseball player & a captain of the baseball team his senior year.
In his spare time Jason likes to work out, hike & go running. When he is not being active, you can find him cheering on his beloved New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox or Boston Celtics!
