(WBNG) -- The Vestal Elks Lodge is the winner of a two thousand dollar grant from Upstate Shredding for Southern Tier Tuesdays.
The non-profit serves the community by supporting local veterans, organizations and people in need. John Pooler, with the Vestal Elks Lodge, says one of the many ways the Elks Lodge has given back this year is by awarding 21 students with free iPads through an essay contest.
This year the Vestal Elks Lodge also gave $2,500 to UHS and Lourdes for the Coronavirus Relief Fund. Also, the Elks sponsored the Oxford Veterans Home and supplied them with 16 tablets so they could communicate with their loved ones.
