Aaron played for the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves from 1954 to 74.  He then played for the Milwaukee Brewers from 1974 to 76.

Additionally, Aaron held the record for the most home runs, with 714, until San Francisco Giant legend Barry Bonds surpassed him in 2004.

MLB says they were devastated by his passing.

"[He was] one of the greatest players and people in the history of our game," MLB tweeted.

He was 86 years old.  The Atlanta Braves said he died peacefully in his sleep.
