(WBNG) -- The Northern Broome Senior Center is the winner of a two thousand dollar grant from Upstate Shredding for Southern Tier Tuesdays.
Although the Northern Broome Senior Center is closed, the non-profit is offering exercise classes and yoga classes through Zoom to help seniors through the isolating time of the pandemic.
The Northern Broome Senior Center is also making isolation calls to seniors to check in on how they are doing. The center is also serving drive up lunches daily.
Desirae Peterson, the Site Supervisor of the Northern Broome Senior Center, says the Southern Tier Tuesday grant will be used to purchase furniture and supplies for their new pavilion where there will be outdoor social distancing activities.
