(WBNG) -- Haylee's Helping Hands is the winner of a two-thousand dollar grant from Upstate Shredding through Southern Tier Tuesdays.
Haylee's Helping Hands Closet was started in 2015 by Tonya Ellerson-Porier and Brittany Newlen, in memory of Tonya's daugther Haylee, who passed away as a toddler.
This organization helps provide clothing, toys, hygiene products, bedding, and more to people in Broome County who have experienced a house fire, financial issues, or any difficult situation.
The closet collects items such as adult and infant clothes, toys, hygiene products, baby necessities, and more.
The non-profit is completely run on donations and by volunteers.
