VESTAL (WBNG) -- Following Sunday's win against New Hampshire, the Binghamton women's soccer team is ranked number 22 in the nation.

This is the highest RPI ranking in program history.

Binghamton (2-1) sits behind NC State and High Point and is in front of Washington State and Furman.

Head coach Neel Bhattacharjee said his team hasn't paid too much attention to the ranking but it is something nice to see.

"We'll enjoy it for the moment,' said Bhattacharjee. "Not a lot of discussion at the moment."

With the America East conference semifinals in a few weeks, the Bearcats can secure the number two seed in Pod B with a win against NJIT on Sunday.

Bhattacharjee said every game is critical leading up to the conference semifinals.

"Especially when you're only playing six games, you have to really taken advantage of every moment that's given to you," said Bhattacharjee. "I feel like we've been able to do up to this point. So we want to make sure we end things on a strong note."

Binghamton is back on the road Thursday afternoon at Vermont.
