(WBNG) -- The Roberson Museum and Science Center has educational opportunities and events for youth and adults throughout April.

April's events began with the Easter Eggstravaganza, where kids and families enjoyed science and arts challenges, crafts, and meeting the Easter Bunny.

Natalie Shoemaker, the Marketing and Events Coordinator, said the staff at the Roberson Museum feel lucky to host in-person events that will be safe and will allow kids to engage with each other.

Next up on the calendar of events is "Zentangle: an Introduction into Mindful Doodling", a two-hour introductory drawing class over Zoom, on April 7.

Each month the Roberson offers a new lesson, project, and opportunity through Art Club. This month's event is on Thursday, April 8 from 6 to 7:30 pm.

Other workshops in April include "Intro to Macrame", "Intro to Visual Storytelling with Zines", "Talk and Draw", and "Springtime Dried Flower Wreath."

At the end of the month, the Roberson is offering "An Historic Running Tour 5K", through downtown Binghamton.
