TOWN OF FENTON (WBNG) -- Chenango Valley senior Miranda Rogers signed her national letter of intent to join the Binghamton University swimming and diving team Wednesday afternoon.
Rogers finished her final season with the Warriors with a 6-1 dual meet record. She also finished fourth in Class B Sectionals.
Rogers placed fifth in sectionals in 2018 and 2019.
Rogers said Binghamton was the right fit for many reasons, but mainly due to its location.
"The proximity to home, the team, everyone is super friendly, and I just wanted to stay local," she said. "It's so amazing, I'm so excited and it's going to be a great journey."
Rogers will be joined by Chenango Valley's Eli Lanfear, who will join the men's swimming and diving team. Former Warrior Katie Schultz is also a member of the women's team.
