(WBNG) -- The Lynch-Bustin Elementary Parent Teacher Group is this week's winner of a two-thousand dollar grant from Upstate Shredding through Southern Tier Tuesdays.
The PTG is based in Pennsylvania and is composed of parent volunteers and teachers who work hard to to help their students achieve a rewarding academic, recreational, and social education.
"We're just a parent-teacher group that puts the extra into our kid's school years. We help fund field trips, Christmas craft day, movie events," explained Katie Behm, a member of the Lynch-Bustin PTG.
Due to the pandemic, the PTG faced many challenges navigating through the 2020 school year, but say they are eager to return to more regular and normal school programming soon.
The Lynch-Bustin PTG adds that they will use the grant to help continue to organize events and support the students
