(WBNG) -- Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Monday morning that schools in New York State will no longer mandate that students wear masks outdoors.

Cuomo said the individual decision will be up to local school districts.

On Friday, State Health Commissioner Howard Zucker wrote a letter to the CDC that said New York would no longer require masks for schools or camps, even for people who are not vaccinated.
