HARPURSVILLE (WBNG) -- Broome County Officials announced Nathaniel Cole Park in Harpursville has closed due to the ongoing police investigation in which New York State Trooper Becky Seager was shot in the hip.

As of 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, a manhunt is underway for the suspect, 34-year-old Jason D. Johnson.

The park's closure follows the closures of the Eastern Broome Senior Center and Harpursville Meals on Wheels, which were closed for the same reason.

The Harpursville and Windsor schools moved to remote learning Thursday due to the investigation.
