Town of Maine man pleads guilty to felony sex crime

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- The Broome County District Attorney's Office said a Town of Maine man plead guilty to a sex crime in Broome County Court on June 9.

The district attorney's Office said Justin D. Miller plead guilty to course of sexual conduct against a child in the first degree, a felony.

According to the district attorney's office, Miller admitted he engaged in "numerous acts" of sexual conduct with a 12-year-old during 2020.

Miller will be sentenced to 15 years in prison with 20 years of post-release supervision and sex offender registration.

Of the case, Broome County District Attorney Michael A. Korchak said, "Sexual predators that harm children deserve nothing less than lengthy terms in New York State prison. This disposition spared the child from having to testify in court regarding these despicable acts."

The investigation was conducted by the Broome County Sheriff's Office.
