BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- After the pandemic delayed its opening, an Upstate NY staple will soon be open for business here in Binghamton.
Staff told 12 News the Red Jug Pub will officially open its doors Monday at its 17 Main St. location; the bar was originally supposed to open in 2020, but was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This will be the fourth Red Jug Pub to open in the state; the other three locations are in Oneonta, Brockport and Cortland.
Staff said they were looking forward to meeting residents and becoming part of the community.
"I'm most excited about seeing some of the locals and getting kind of to connect with the community," said Bartender Mallory Fowler. "I feel like a lot of the bars in our area don't have this kind of charisma where your bartender is somebody you get to talk to, and to mix your drinks and you connect with, so I'm really excited to be part of that and serve my community in that way."
Staff said they are known for their devil-themed decor, their vodka lemonades and their t-shirt giveaways.
