VESTAL (WBNG) -- Binghamton wrestler Lou Deprez and runner Emily Mackay celebrated becoming NCAA All-Americans Monday afternoon.
In 2020, Deprez finished as a top-eight seed in the 184 pound weight class. Last season, he placed eighth at the NCAA Championships.
"It just kind of brings everything together from what I did in the last couple of years," said Deprez. "I really have to thank all of the people that really pushed me along here because without them I wouldn't be here."
For Mackay, she placed 14th overall at the NCAA Cross Country Championships and placed 7th in the women's 5,000 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
"It means the most honestly," said Mackay. "It's my greatest accomplishment and it's something that I'm very proud of and something that I worked very, very hard for."
Mackay opens the cross country season Saturday in Durham, North Carolina. Deprez opens the season at Rutgers University on November 6.
