CHEMUNG COUNTY (WBNG) -- Chemung County Executive Christopher J. Moss announced Monday that visitors in county-owned and operated buildings will be required to wear face masks starting September 28th.
Moss says the mandate applies to all employees and visitors regardless of their vaccination status.
The mandate also recommends county employees limit the number of individuals attending in-person meetings and utilize remote platforms.
Moss also says the mandate was announced due to "a significant uptick in Covid-19 cases."
The mandate comes as the C.D.C. moves the county from "moderate" to "high risk."
