JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) -- This month the Cooperative Gallery 213 is featuring Time & Textures.
This show is an exhibition of three friends who met 40 years ago as art majors at SUNY New Paltz. One of the Artists Joanne Thorne Arnold said shows rotate through the gallery monthly and her show is currently on display with pieces from her good friends.
"Our work is all very different from each other but we all have the same spirit of art in us," Arnold said.
Arnold said the title of her show originated from the passage of time and the textures element refers to the different mediums that each of the artists use.
"My medium is oils I always specialize in colors," Arnold said. "The artist Cary Decker did print making and she also has a non-profit van that she does in Poughkeepsie called Crazy Over Art on Tour so she's a mover and shaker in the Hudson Valley, and Cheryl McBride is a print maker with a lot of social messages in it."
On Oct. 21, the Cooperative Gallery 213 will host a Third Thursday Art Talk with Arnold.
"The Third Thursday Gallery Talk is going to be via zoom and it will be from 7 to 8 p.m. and anyone that is interested in watching it we're going to have all three of us artists are going to be on it and if you want to just go to my website we can get you the zoom invitation," Arnold said.
Time and Textures will be on display at the Cooperative Gallery 213 until Oct. 23.
