Putter’s Group is helping families, parents and caregivers who have children or patients with special needs. The Support Group was started by Emily Bentivegna, with support from Family Resource Network, Springbrook, and Souther Tier Connect.

Putter is a nickname for her oldest daughter Amelia. When she was younger she would ‘putt’ around on the floor instead of crawl. Hence the name, putter. Amelia, has battled medical issues her whole life, including blindness.

This group helps people in the community with various concerns, questions and to connect people with similar situations in their home life.

The support group has monthly meetings that focus on a variety of topics, have outings throughout the year, and connect people with others. This group is about positivity, and reaching to the community together.

If you have any questions go to the Facebook page called ‘Putter’s Group’.  The next meeting is May 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. at CV free church. If you would like to be added to the group send a request through Facebook or you can send an email to puttersgroup@gmail.com.
