Binghamton University Lyceum is hosting its annual Mall Lecture. This year the topic is “The Same Old Story: Alexander Hamilton on Demagogues and Republican Government.”

Douglas Ambrose will be the speaker and the topic is based on his book.

The BU Lyceum Program is a lifetime learning association for adult learners 50 years of age or older.

Lyceum offers its students an opportunity to learn from and among their peers. Classes are held during the day and typically run for a maximum of four weeks. Some courses are designed for listeners, while the majority of classes allow for and encourage discussion and participation. Course leaders are often retired specialists or members who as “amateurs” have pursued their interests in some depth.

The Mall Lecture will be on Tuesday, May 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. You can RSVP by calling (607) 777-2587 or email
