The Broome County Historical Society will be presenting From Bars to Boutiques: A History of Binghamton’s Clinton Street.

Clinton Street holds a special place in the hearts of many Binghamton residents. Gerry Smith, former Broome County Historian, will be talking about the heart of the First Ward and the important Binghamton Street.

Smith has written several books on Broome County history, writes a weekly column for the Press & Sun Bulletin, serves as secretary for the Broome County Historical Society and runs HistorySmiths, a consulting and research service.

The program From Bars to Boutiques: A History of Clinton Street will be on Wednesday, May 15 at St. Michael’s Church Recreation Center. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the program begins at 6:45 p.m.
