This week, Upstate Shredding awarded their $2,000 grant to the Broome County Humane Society.
The Humane Society is an independent, non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to preventing animal cruelty and finding homes for animals.
They serve the community by sheltering animals, finding them homes, investigating reports of animal cruelty, educating people of all ages, and rescuing animals from threatening situations.
All their animals are spayed a neutered prior to adoption. This grant will help offset the cost of this program, which costs the Humane Society upwards of $60,000 each year.
