Coughlin & Gerhart

Attorneys & Counselors at Law

Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP is organized into seven basic Practice Groups: Business and Banking Law, Labor and Employment Law, Litigation, Workers’ Compensation & Disability, Public Law, Real Estate, and Trusts and Estates. Complex matters within each practice area are supervised by lawyers experienced in the type of matter being handled.

Because of the size of the office and diversity of the attorneys in the firm, lawyers from one practice group are able to routinely assist and augment lawyers in another group. Each group meets on a periodic basis to discuss the status of assigned and new matters, as well as current developments in the law.

Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP represents public and private sector employers throughout New York State. The firm, which was founded in the 1890’s, has grown to be a multi-service law firm, consisting of more than 40 lawyers and a professional support staff.

The firm’s main office is located at 99 Corporate Drive, Binghamton. It has convenient branch offices located in Bainbridge, Hancock, Ithaca, Owego, Walton and Montrose, Pennsylvania.
