The three-time Class A state champion Maine-Endwell softball team has been honored yet again.
"Took me a second to realize what happened and it was just one of the best feelings I’ve had in a while," said Chenango Forks junior Noah Raymond on his OT game-winner.
Just this season, the junior has pitched four perfect games. She’s tossed 13 total in her high school career.
"There’s no place I’d rather be [Friday] than watching the two of them play. And I honestly don’t think [Nick] or TJ would expect anything less from me."
Friday’s doubleheader at Central Connecticut State could be the final time brothers Nick and TJ Wegmann take the field together. The Apalachin natives are our 12 Sports Athletes of the Week.
"I hit behind her and I just know that when she gets up there that I’m going to hit again," said Susquehanna Valley senior Hannah Haskell.
"It is certainly a lot better to coach her than to coach against her," said Maine-Endwell head softball coach Joe Mancinelli.
