Jim Maerkl

Jim Maerkl is a proud member of the WBNG TV Multimedia Sales Team. Team is a key attribute with Jim being that he served his country for 22 years until retiring in as an E8 First Sergeant from the 204th Engineer Battalion in Binghamton.

One of Jim’s greatest accomplishments is having spent 10 years in law enforcement. Jim also has experience in several territory sales manager jobs that serviced most of New York State. He raised two young men who enjoyed playing hockey, football and lacrosse. This gave Jim the opportunity to coach his sons along with many youths in our community who enjoyed playing hockey and football.

Jim graduated from Binghamton High School. After high school, he joined the Military and has served and worked in this community all his life and is very proud to do so. He is ready and excited for his journey with WBNG. When Jim is not working he enjoys spending time on his boat and in the sun at Sandy Pond, NY. When winter rolls around you’ll find him at the hockey rink where he plays in a men’s league and referees local youth and adult leagues.
