Police: 68-year-old woman ticketed in Endicott car crash

ENDICOTT (WBNG) — The New York State Police say a 68-year-old female from Endicott was ticketed for failing to yield the right-of-way which caused a car crash Sunday afternoon.

State Police say the crash injured one 49-year-old female who was also from Endicott.

According to police, the 49-year-old was taken to Wilson Hospital by ambulance for a complaint about whiplash.

Authorities have not released any other information about the two females involved.


ORIGINAL STORY

ENDICOTT (WBNG) — The West Endicott Fire Department says one person was taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries following a car crash at the intersection of North Page Avenue and West Franklin Street Sunday afternoon.

Around 12:03 p.m., the West Endicott Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection for a report of a two-car crash with airbags deployed.

The fire department says the vehicles, both SUVs, suffered “significant front end damage.”

According to the fire department, the roads that makeup the intersection were closed in both directions and traffic was diverted for around 45 minutes.

Union Ambulance, The Endicott Police Department, and the New York State Police also responded to the scene.

12 News has reached out to the New York State Police for more information, but is waiting to hear back.
