(WBNG) — If you have unused medications to dispose of, you have the chance to do so this weekend.
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, October 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The New York State Attorney General’s Office notes that 474.5 pounds of unused medical was collected nationwide on the last National Prescription Drug Take Back Day in April. Of that total, 40,000 pounds was collected in New York State, the attorney general’s office notes.
All unused prescriptions and over-the-counter medications will be accepted, no questions asked. No illegal drugs, needles, or sharps will be accepted.
