Arrest made after person shot at Waverly home, killed cat

WAVERLY (WBNG) — An arrest was made after someone shot at a home in Waverly with a BB type gun damaging a home and killing a cat.

Waverly police said these incidents took place on October 17th on Lodus Street.

An arrest was made on Wednesday. Dylan Wright, 21, faces felony animal cruelty and criminal mischief charges.

Authorities said Wright shot at windows of a home with a BB / CO 2 type gun. Police said glass and siding of a home was damaged.

At the same date and time of that incident officers found a cat appeared to be shot nearby a home on the same street.

That cat died.

An investigation found that Wright intentionally shot at a neighbors house causing damage to the house and then moments later intentionally shot at another neighbors house cat.

Wright is due in Village of Waverly Court during November.
