BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — As any successful small business knows, it’s important to have a good relationship with your community.
At the MetroCenter in downtown Binghamton Thursday, Mirabito continued to support the local community by donating a total of $100,000 to six different organizations and non-profits.
The donation comes from money raised during the annual Mirabito Golf Classic, a yearly summer golf tournament that will celebrate 25 years next June.
Mirabito executives were on hand to present a check to the Muscular Dystrophy Association as part of the day’s events, and they said not only is it good for business to support the community, but it’s the right thing to do.
“I think it’s very important, and I think we should get involved, every local business if we can. We all need to give back to the community. We receive from the community, so we need to give back to them,” said Kevin Quinton, the director of sales and marketing for the energy company.
