TOWN OF DICKINSON (WBNG) — For people that still need to buy a few presents for friends and family, the Holiday Artisan Market is a great chance to not only cross a few gifts off your list but buy local as well.

The market has expanded in its second year, from 25 vendors to more than 40 vendors this year.

Event organizers say not only is the market a chance to spend money that will stay in the community, but many of the items for sale cannot be found in stores.

“In addition to supporting local businesses, you’ll also be able to find some unique items that you can’t find anywhere else. There’s a lot of custom-made items, one-of-a-kind items, just things you can pick up that you wouldn’t find in a big box store or online,” said Molly McManus, the event coordinator for the Broome County Regional Farmer’s Market, which is hosting the holiday market.

Some of the items for sale include handmade wooden crafts, locally grown food and wines, and other goods originating in Broome County.

With more vendors comes the need for more space, so the market has expanded into a second building as well.

The market will run from 4-7 on Thursday and Friday.
