Organizers say no more volunteers are needed for this event.
BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — First United Methodist Church of Chenango Bridge says it will be the host of “Night to Shine 2019,” a prom for people with special needs that will be held at Chenango Valley High School.
Organizers say Night to Shine is an “unforgettable prom night” experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older.
According to First United Methodist, it will serve as one of nearly 650 churches in 21 countries registered to host the Feb. 8 event.
“I am blown away by how we are seeing God use the Church to step into this space as an advocate for people with special needs. It’s not about my foundation or the churches themselves, but about communities coming together to love and celebrate people with differences,” Tim Tebow said in a news release. “Every town, every village, every state, every country needs a Night to Shine for their special needs community – a chance to be a part of something significant and life-changing…and to be blessed in the process.”
Up to 75 guests will be allowed on a first-come, first-served bases.
